Brief description of the project
A new educational standard was introduced in Latvia in 2020, equating education with a service. To support the teachers of the new subject Design and Technologies, the IT Education Foundation created a set of services — learning tools in six design areas: environmental design, fashion design, digital design, interior design, product design and service design. In addition, an online tool, startdesign.lv, was developed, allowing anyone to learn the design thinking method and all six design topics, which are also a part of the content of the high school Technologies course. The tool was created for educators, but the learning tools have also gained popularity among other audiences.
